Jimbo has written, produced and directed over 50 comedy show episodes for 4 different networks, 20 eclectic commercials, a bunch of insane music videos, lord knows how many nutty pilots, a couple of published fun books and he still isn't sick of it!

Jimbo started drawing when he was 4. Some say he's never evolved since, some say that's what keeps him interesting. He started making films with his grandfather's super 8mm camera at age 10 and has never looked back! Jimbo fusing art and film was just natural osmosis.

Jimbo enjoys never talking about how he was the official screaming voice of Sega in all those insane video game commercials back in the day. SEGA!!! Don't ask him to do it, he gets flashbacks to hoards of screaming children begging him to do it over and over. Not pretty.

Jimbo started in the business way back in 1989 at San Francisco's legendary production house, Colossal Pictures, as a production artist. He soon worked his way up to writer and art director. He made his directing debut on the Emmy award winning Liquid TV, on MTV, with the very well accepted Crazy Daisy Ed. Stop Motion animated madness. From there he started writing and directing interstitials and packaging for the likes of FOX, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick UK, and CBS.

He then made the jump to live action making commercials with clients such as Coke, Burger King, Starbucks, Rocawear and more. Feeling the old urge to produce more comedy he created the insane Space Is Dum for Wildbrain.com. It was one of their most popular shows and was picked up by Syfy, nominated for an ANNIE and featured in the Tribeca Film Festival.

He then turned to print and made "So Crazy Japanese Toys!". A photo coffee table book of beautiful Japanese toys. All photos were shot in 4X5 format, lush with super bright fun plastic characters. Published by Chronicle Books.

A little tired of San Francisco, Jimbo packed his bags for NYC to help start IATV. An amazing start up network (on basic cable from coast to coast. Time Warner, Cox and Comcast) where he was VP, Senior Producer of Original Content. IATV was privately owned and just couldn't survive the harsh economy, it was purchased by MNET and turned into an all K-Pop network. C'est la vie!

At IATV Jimbo created several shows he went on to write and direct. The winningest being the cult comedy Uncle Morty's Dub Shack (Two seasons, 22 episodes, 3 specials). It featured Trevor Moore of WKUK, Aziz Ansari of Parks and Recreation and lots more.

The press for Uncle Morty's kind of says it all;

"It's the Beastie Boys meets MST3K" - The San Francisco Chronicle.

"Consistent hilariousness" - Salon.com.

"The absurdity is deliberate" - Apple.com.

Uncle Morty's won a lot of Telly awards for comedy and visual effects. He also co-produced and co-directed 2 seasons of Comedy Zen, a live stand up comedian show featuring the likes of Bobby Lee, Ken (Dr. Ken) Jeong and Dat Phan.

Besides all that noise Jimbo writes the catchiest jingles and includes them in just about all his projects. This has left scars on his assistants. They now have support groups but it doesn't help much. He has penned music that has aired for Coke, Burger King, MTV, Nickelodeon, all his shows and more. Now he is out! Freelance! Raging on the land without restraint! Jimbo just completed 4 commercials for the NHL which won him Addy gold!
